addLoad

Different LoadTypes have different input arguments:

• BuildingTcl -- addLoad: LoadTypeLabel Gravity
• BuildingTcl -- addLoad: LoadTypeLabel LateralPushover
• BuildingTcl -- addLoad: LoadTypeLabel UniformEQ
• BuildingTcl -- addLoad: LoadTypeLabel UniformEQ2D
• BuildingTcl -- addLoad: LoadTypeLabel UniformEQ3D
• BuildingTcl -- addLoad: LoadTypeLabel UniformSine

Arguments

$LoadLabel

Unique Load Label for reference

$LoadTypeLabel

Specifies which LoadType is being used.

$RequiredArgument1Label $RequiredArgument1Value ...

Labels and corresponding values for LoadModel-specific required argument.

$InputArgument1Label $InputArgument1Value …

Labels and corresponding values for LoadModel-specific Input Arguments (Optional)

Notes

The addLoad command must be placed at the end of each Load-data definition, as it takes all data defined since the last addLoad command and define the Load.

Default Loads

BuildingTcl comes with a set of pre-loaded Default Loads. It is recommended that the user modify these pre-loaded AnalysisModela and save them under a new name. The library of loads is not complete with the default Loads alone, though, since no default can be created for a file-input ground motion.
