can Opensees simulate the rehabilitation of a frame?

how to add a element to a earthquake-damaged frame? if the element is added before the earthquake, it would have some influence to the earthquake result. then when add it?

thank you,dear silvia! then how to define the coordinate of the element?the X,y coordinate have changed after earthquake

Hi,
you don't need to know the coordinates, you just need the node numbers.

element ---- id node 1 node 2...

i hope this works
