I've got a problem about the axial load in pushover analysis and IDA method. Recently, I performed pushover analysis and IDA on the same pier, and found at the same global drift level, the base shear and curvature is quiet different, the IDA’s result is much bigger. I thought these maybe correlate axial load of the section, because the IDA’s peak axial load also much bigger than the pushover method. And I wondered whether the OPENSEES can abatement the dynamic axial load. Thank u!
