Takeda hysteresis model

Post by NasirP »

Hi everyone
I'm trying to assign a takeda hysteresis model to a rotational spring which is used to create a SDOF system. I know there is no Takeda material in OpenSees. Thus, I should use Hysteretic material. what I don't know is the Parameters which should be used. Could anyone help me writing the code?

Best Regards

you should use the pinching parameters in x and y axes. The link below shows pinching parameters of 0.2 and 0.6.

I appreciate for your attention.
So, should I use pinching4 material? pinching4 or hysteresis material, which one is simple to make Takeda model?

No. I meant using the pinching parameters in the hysteretic material
