Rayleigh damping in frame with TMD

Hello,
I am modelling a steel frame with TMD. I am trying to assign Rayleigh Damping only to the structure and not to the TMD. We know that adding TMD changes the periods of vibration. Is this correct that we first write main structure modeling commands in opensees file, then assign rayleigh damping to main structure by means of writing Rayleigh Damping commands assigning Rayleigh damping to its two first vibration modes, and then model the TMD containing its mass,stiffness,damping, node,material and element of the TMD? How can I make sure that in this method the rayleigh damping is not assigned to TMD oscillation?
