opensees.exe has stopped

Post by IsmBaha »

Hello Frank,

Would it be handy to have zeros or Nan when an element or node is removed in its corresponding recorder?

I dunno if this modification would hurt anything else, but it is a hassle to remove all those recorders; and if you don't remove recorders it suddenly stops without even a warning that took me hours to find out that it was stopping b/c of recorders of the removed element.

Regards,
Baha

it can't be done w/o a performance penalty. will look into adding an option for those who do element removal (not a lot of such users)

Thanks Frank,
We had same problem here too, and it took us lots of time to figure it out. The element/recorder removals are necessities in excavation analyses.
