pattern plain groundmotions

Post by wangpengfei »

Hi,I started my study .I analysed the top of pier which are under the earthquake. From my study ,i learned that i should use the pattern plain command ,the problem is how to input the ground motions .especially for the condition that the number of ground motions is large ,who can help me solve the two problems , thanks a lot !

Re: concrete01withsitc convergence

post the analysis script after the analyze Transient so i can see if you are trying anything .. you can get rid of the element errors by switching to a dispBeamColumn element .. though you need more elements per span to get more "accurate" response that the forceBeamColumn is giving .. as you add more ele the problem may pop up at global level.

thanks a lot ,but how many elements should i divide to get the relative accurate result.by the way ,why the computing convergence of concrete01withsitc is so bad .
