Buried Steel pipeline

Post by billu »

Hi everyone,
I am modeling a buried steel pipeline and trying to perform dynamic analysis of pipeline. I have completed the pipe geometry and mesh part.Does anyone here have an opensees code or any example of modelling a pipeline in which dynamic analysis is performed.???? It would be a great help to get an opportunity to understand the code and then establishing it myself.
Waiting for positive response.Your help will be great assistance for me as always.
Kind regards...

the only difference between the static and dynamic model is mass definition and damping. so if you have performed the static analysis, the move to dynamic is pretty straight forward (once you figure out the damping model)

thanks for ur kind reply respected Admin.
But If I would have sample code of pipeline dynamic analysis modelled as Beam on Non-Linear Winkler foundation,it would have been a great help..
