remove element while

Hi,

I have used 'remove element' to kill element while analyzing in OpenSees-windows version on Windows, and it ran just fine. However, when I use OpenSees Linux version on Linux, I get error :

WARNING: symbolic analysis returns -8 -- Umfpackgenlinsolver::setsize
WARNING:UmfpackGenLinSOE::setSize : solver failed setSize()
DirectIntegrationAnalysis::handle() - LinearSOE::setSize() failedDirectIntegrationAnalysis::analyze() - domainChanged() failed
OpenSees > analyze failed, returned: -1 error flag

is there problem in Linux version? any help pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I ran into this problem as well (on Windows) and figured I'd post what I found to help with resolving this issue: I reissued the "system UmfPack" command after removing the element(s) and that got rid of the error.
