Dear all
I'm sorry if the question may be stupid, but I did not find the answer in the manual. Must the element shape be a square? I found out that in the examples the elements always have four sides with the same length, but the question is, is it compulsory?
Thanks anyway.

Re: element shape
As far as I know the general answer is no.
If you are using elastic elements you need to assign directly Area and Inertia. Therefore you do not mind the shape.
If you are using nonlinear elements, then in the case of fiber sections (e.g.) you need to assign the shape, whether rectangular or circular.
But I have been using the software for two days. Maybe some expert users can add useful information.
