Moment curvature analysis of composite beam

Post by Manya »

I have modeled my composite beam with steel w-section and concrete slab separately i.e by giving two different section properties.(secTag1 and secTag2).Is there anyway I can do Moment curvature analysis of entire composite beam.As far I understood moment curvature can be done for individual sections. But am not quite sure how to get moment curvature of the composite beam as a whole. Can anyone please help me out with this.Thankyou

I think you can define your composite section with partch and fiber commands just like the moment curvature example for reinforced concrete section. I mean, you may define slab with concrete patches and steel fibers (reinforcement) and steel beam with steel patches as a whole.

what you are asking makes no sense .. a moment curvature relationship is by definition the force-displacement relationship of a section .. the force-displacement relationship for a beam IS NOT a moment-curvature relationship.
