mohr-coulomb model in opensees

Post by koorosh »

Hi.
Does opensees have mohr-coulomb constitutive model or other simple models for soils?
I read user manual but I can't find it.

mohr-cooulomb was removed. no one has replaced the one that was there. there are no simpler ndMaterials hiding in the code than those presented in the doc.

Perhaps there is some sort of work-around. The rounded mohr coulomb yield surface (http://opensees.berkeley.edu/OpenSees/m ... l/1459.htm) can be wrapped inside a Template3Dep material. It defines the William-Warnke yield surface criterion. According to wikipedia:

"The Willam-Warnke yield criterion may therefore be viewed as a combination of the Mohr-Coulomb and the Drucker-Prager yield criteria."

Perhaps there is some way to get opensees to simplify the William-Warnke criteria (by removing the Drucker-Prager part) to get it to behave exactly like a Mohr-Coulomb material. Under what conditions does the William-Warnke constitutive model simplify to a standard Mohr-Coulomb model? Could anyone provide some input here?

why has the documentation for the Template3Dep model been removed? Is the model no longer available?
