Hi,
Does any body know how can i model staged construction for an earth dam and its effect on pore pressure and settlement with opensees?
Is there any example of staged construction?

the only example i have on staged construction is one from Pedro Arduino for a sheet pile wall.

basically you can add or remove anything after an analysis has been completed if elements have been written to do so (i.e. when add element to deformed body it will not have any initial strains if some of nodes have some existing displacement).
