FBE convergence

Hi,
Is there any convergence problem when using force-based elements in opensees? while I was reading "opensees command language manual" which has been printed on 1 July 2007, I encountered this notation:
"NOTE: the forceBeamColumn (nonlinearBeamColumn (page 218)) element might have problems converging; the current code needs to be redone."
Although this is for about 7 years ago, I just wanted to make sure if the problem has been solved. thanks a lot.
