about the beam-column joint element

Post by fengxiahan »

I want to enquire about super-element model for the beam-column joint(Mitra and Lowes 2007).I want to ask if the Mitra-Lowes joint model added to OpenSees or not now? If not, shall we use the code of the new joint element? Thanks for your helpness.I am looking forward any suggestions about my question.

Yes, the element is available in opensees and see the command-language manual to see how the command works.

thanks for your reply, but after I saw the OpenSees Command Language Manual ,I only found the Lowes-Altoontash beam-column joint model(2003) ,and there is nothing about the Mitra-Lowes joint model(2007) in the references of Opensees command language manual.
thanks for your helpness.

oh,
then you might want to contact the authors to see if and how they plan to update the element.
