input & output energies for earthquake

Post by m630309 »

Hi
My name is Mohammad Khamoshi and I’m doing my master at shomal-Amol’ university located in Iran. Actually my topic is related to the input and output structural energy based on earthquake. Moreover I’m using Opensees as basic software for my project. Regarding the perform-3D’ software which calculate the input and output structural energies such as input energy, hysteric energy, recoverable strain energy and so on, could you please inform me that whether the Opensees’ software has all those mentioned ability in calculation and simulation? In addition, if Opensees is not capable of mentioned requests, please guide me about the way that I can get through the procedure of calculation and simulation due the methodology of my project. For more information I have to add that the structure are simulated by using Steel02 and the Fiber section via the structural steel frame and also the dynamics of nonlinear analysis in time domain as methodology of my project.

Energy recorders do not exist in OpenSees.
