OpenSees Navigator

Post by Tas »

Hello,

I would like to learn some informations about the OpenSees Navigator.

Will it work properly in a PC with Windows in which the latest version of OpenSees and Tcl 8.5 are already installed? Is it something that i should keep in mind when i try to install Navigator?
Does it have many limitations on its use (for instance does it works only for Frames consisting of linear members or does it also handles surface finite elements?).

Thank you.

In addition to what you already sad you also need Matlab to run OpenSees navigator.

After you install it you will see all elements that it supports. It doesn't have all OpenSees classes but has most of it.

Thank you for the response.

If you don't mind tell me about the first question. I have already installed the latest's versions of OpenSees and Tcl but Navigatot does not run properly. Must we install the previous vesrions in order be o.k? If yes, could you tell me where i can find the previous versions of them?

This is not OpenSees navigator forum, but from the message you posted it tells you the possible problems.
