I'm executing a dinamic time History analysis for a 2-D rc frame, 4 storeys,2 bays.
I use fiber sections,material are concrete01 and steel01.
I use equalDOF command for each node of the storey.
I was expected zero value for axial force in the beams, but in output it isn't zero!
The output X-disp of the nodes are the same!
I think it is due to fiber approach for section definition...is it possible?
And what is the reason of this?
thanks for your kind attention.have a good day.lorenzo
axial force for beams

you should really use concrete02 and steel02....
you are getting axial force because you are constraining the nodes and not letting the beams deform axially....
i don't know why you are getting different X displacements. check your constraints.
