Get Curvature of a fiber section nonlinearBeamColumn element

Post by Amirsardar13 »

Dear everybody,

I am having a reinforced concrete column and I have to record the curvature of the section at the bottom of column. I was wondering if there is any direct recorder to get the data. The column is under bi-directional ground motion, so it would be great to get the resultant curvature.
The column is defined using "element nonlinearBeamColumn" command and it has a previously defined fiber section.

please type the complete recorder details if possible.

Thank you so much.

How about if I have a "columnwithhinges" element?

There is no recorder for resultant curvature, but you can record the curvature in the two directions.

Look at this presentation (portion on recorders) to learn how to define any response quantity of interest:

Soon I will post a video stream of the Descovering OpenSees presentation on Output.
