Hello,
I have two questions about using of the BeamwithHinges element type when you specify an end-rigid offset to the element:
1. When we use BeamwithHinges element type and define end-rigid zone rigid offset to both ends, then how does the Lp is calculated? Does it calculated like the case there is no end-rigid offset in the element or the Lp is calculated from the end of the rigid zone of the element?
2. When we want to record the chordDeformations in a BeamwithHinges element type which has an end-zone rigidity offset, then how the calculations of the chord rotation is done ? Do the calculations consider the whole length of the element or the rigid parts lengths are subtracted from the whole length and then the chord rotation is calculated?
I will be so thankful if anyone can help me.
Best Regard
