unsymmetrical fiber section analysis

Post by enrico tubaldi »

Dear Silvia,
in order to understand what fiber the section axial deformation is referred to i have applied a unit moment to a unsymmetric r.c. square section with the reinforcement placed only in the upper part. The section axial deformation resulted to be different from the axial deformation of the fiber with coordinate (0,0). This mean the section axial deformation is something different, but i couldn't find out what it is. Can you help me, please?
Regards.
Enrico
