elastic beamcolumn element

I am doing a 2d analysis and can we use quad element and beamcolumn element in the same model?
since ndf of 3 is not allowed in case of quad elem
Please suggest me

yes, you can, you have to define the model builder twice.
i don't have an example, but someone here might...

I am looking to do the same thing.

In this forum I found a couple of related examples...

This one connects the pile to the quad elements with the Pysimple ZeroLength elements...

Appears that dummy nodes are required to be able to connect the pile to the soil mesh.
