how to consider a curved bar

i have to simulate a ptrstressed steel frame, how to deal with the curved bar?

I would think the easiest way is to discretize it into small linear bars (not sure how many you would need to get an accurate aproximation), but I've never done anything like that.

i think that is not a accurate method,i want to know if Opensees can simulate the curved tendons,just like the softwares ANSYS and ABAQUS

PhD.silvia,i want to establish a element(cable) between the ends of the beam to simulate the tendons,do you think the method is feasible?
