Hi
I want to model beams with pinned connection. Which type has less converge problem in transeint analysis, only constraint translation DOFs or constraint translations DOFs and use a rotational spring with very low stifness?

very low stiffness leads to numerical problems in the stiffness matrix.
i think you should try the constraints and try different types of constraint handlers.
