Damping Matrix - How to get from OpenSees

Post by haselton »

Hello Silvia:

Is there a way to output the damping matrix from OpenSees to a text file? I assume that there is not a TCL command to do this. If not, how hard would it be to alter the source code and make a new EXE that can do this?

Thanks for the help,

Curt

just like the mass matrix, i don't think you can output the damping matrix with the current executable.

...it can't be that hard to modify the code.... (getting it to compile is another story....)

Maybe it would be better if one developer do this...a not-expert with coding can waste much time.
The output of mass, stiffness and damping matrices have been many many times requested by the users...
