Bending Moment at Pinned Connection

Post by fh »

Hi

I wanted to model a pinned connetion (beam to column connection). I used Equal Dof and Zerolength section and gave it the beam section used in the model but now as analysis result I got the moment of 24ton.m at both ends which seems wrong. I wanted to know if my modeling process is correct. if not what should I do.

thanks.

Don't use a zero length element between the beam and the column and only constrain the translational doff
