Transient Analysis

Hello,

This is regarding Transient Analysis. I am analyzing a reinforced concrete frame.

While I perform Transient Analysis, the analysis terminates before the Full time.

My total time for analysis is 20 seconds, but the message appears that the analysis failed at time 7.1 seconds. I can still get the output but only upto this time step.

Can it be implied that the structure has failed within the time I have assigned or there can be any other reasons for this.

If my structure has failed within my full time limit, is there any method by which I can monitor which of my frame members has failed and the mode of their failure (Flexure or Shear).

Any help in this matter will be appreciated.

have you looked at Example3.3 & tried some programming to get around the failure?
