I have been using the following recorder in opensees to track the stress-strain behavior of a certain fiber:
recorder Element -file eleSecStressStrain.out –time -ele $eleTag section $secTag fiber $y $z <$matID> stressStrain
I have found that if secTag is a two digit number such as 60, the recorder only outputs the time value and leaves the stress-strain values blank. However, if secTag is a single digit number such as 1, the recorder works perfectly. I don't understand why this occurs?

not sure about that, as i haven't tested it.
but are you sure the section with the secTag exists?

also, you need to remove the long dash in front of the time tag.
please post the script you used.

Hi Slivia,
I tried it again and had the same problem so I restarted my computer and now it works fine.
The dash in front of time does not seem to be a problem for my system.
Thanks for your help,
Matt
