A model which is used " system SparseGEN " command was developed . the model is run with latest version of opensees ( i.e. OpenSees 2.4.3 ) and the following errors return :
DistributedSuperLU::DistributedSuperLU(int npR, int npC)
commands.cpp: DistributedSuperLU
commands.cpp: DistributedSparseGenColLinSOE
WARNING: CTestEnergyIncr::test() - failed to converge
after: 100 iterations
NewtnRaphson::solveCurrentStep() -the ConvergenceTest object failed in test()
StaticAnalysis::analyze() - the Algorithm failed at iteration: 0 with domain at
load factor 163724
OpenSees > analyze failed, returned: -3 error flag
it is noted no problems are reported when other system commands such as " system ProfileSPD , system BandGeneral " are used .

are you running a a parallel application?

use Mumps instead if parallel (it is much faster)
