multisupport and uniform excitation

Post by sgjsgj »

hello all

i create velocity history by integrating of accel history and create disp history by integrating of vel history. is it correct to multisupport excitation?
when i use multi support excitation with them by constraint transformation and add for example disp history excitation to frame response, displacement history of frame with multi support excitation is same by uniform history excitation.
but when i use constraint penalty 1e120 1e20, result are not the same.
how can i get the same result by penalty constraint.

is there any idea.

you should get the same results if there is o damping .. if there is no damping and the results are different, your commands or your integration is incorrect.

thanks frank

I'll check it with 0 damping.

is not necessary to add the base displacement ( imposed motion) to frame displacement by 0 damping to get the same result with uniform excitaion.
what is damping role that must zero to give same results?

best regards
