soil nDMaterial

Post by hadisayadpour »

Hi;
I have a 3D model of soil and structure and want to simulate soil with an appropriate constitutive model which can predict static and cyclic soil behavior. I used PressureDependentMultiYield model but it is really sensitive and I have many difficulties about the convergency of the model in transient analysis (I used different tolerance, Time step and algorithms but it did not work), so I thought that it would be better to use a simpler model. Unfortunately Template3D models were removed from OpenSees and there is no manual about model parameters such as Bounding Cam-Clay and the parameters of Drucker-Prager to modeling sand.
1) Is there any efficient script that help such models to converge?
2) Is there anyone who can help me about selecting appropriate models for modeling sand and clay under transient loading?
3) Is the Cam-Clay model appropriate to simulate sand behavior?
4) Is there any manual about models such as Bounding Cam-Clay, Dafalias-Manzari,etc...?

Thanks.

I have the same questions as above. I want to use it for soil to replace Drucker-Prager. Does anyone in this forum have experience with this kind of material ?
