different models beside each others

Post by sgjsgj »

hello

when we have some building beside each others like pounding analyses, what should we do for damping.
each building have personal coefficients for Rayleigh damping. can opensees models and runs some structure in different codes and modifies them and transports pounding forces between them.
or can OpenSees considers some Rayleigh damping in one code for some specially different adjacent structures.

regards

by using a "region" command (http://opensees.berkeley.edu/wiki/index ... on_Command) you can assign different damping to different elements or group of elements.
