I also saw somewhere in the forum that we could also use initially displaced truss element to model post tension.
Could someone explain how we can initially displace a truss element.
I figured it like i am applying displacement at the end nodes of the truss element to initially displace the element.
However, applying displacement on the nodes may also cause a push over?
Secondly, is there any way to model post tensioned steel with a displacement beam column element having steel01 material property?
The element also should not carry any moment of course...
I defined an initial strain at the EPP material used for truss element.
You can also use displacement beam column element for PT by imposing end moment release.
