Regarding Meshing in 3D and display commands

Post by dks »

Dear All,
Am new to opensees. Just could not figure it out how to do meshing in 3D 8 noded std Brick Element. Can anyone please help with a simple program. And there should be a display output showing the meshing of the model. Iam modelling a cantilever beam with the same element.
thanks

look at p.tcl slide in the "Basic Modeling and Examples" presentation given in OpenSeesDays 2012. it is for a circular column (remove pts 13 through 26 in block command to ge a square). the examples also displays the column. a link to a zip file contating all the examples can be found at bottom of the page.
