multilinear http://opensees.berkeley.edu/wiki/index ... r_Material

or

you can play with ElasticPP or Steel01 in series.

thanks,
in ElasticPP material (tension gap), when eta is negative, when stress hits 0 does it continue to negative values or end in 0?

not quite sure what exactly your question is. why don't you look at the script at the end of the command page. the script there shows you how you could very quickly determine the answer yourself.

note: this script can be used for any material

Hi
I want to model trilinear behavior with kinematic hysteretic (for metallic damper) but, Steel02 or Steel04 are bilinear.
which material is good?

try hysteetic or multilinear .. play with a sdof model, i.e. a zero length ele or a a truss
