error connecting to SVN Path

I want to get the latest source code following the instruction on the page of User/SVN, but error appears.
[b]path[/b] [i]svn://opensees.berkeley.edu/usr/local/svn/OpenSees/trunk[/i] is not available to get access to the source code.
[i]error can't connect to host 'opensees.berkeley.edu'[/i]

it should be working just fine .. i just issued the command from a machine at purdue university .. if not working you have some local issue, possibly firewall.
