Hi
I am doing nonlinear dynamic analysis of asymmetric plan shear buildings. I have the following queries:
1) In Opensees there is a RigidDiaphragm command can it be used to model rigid floor effect in a shear building shear buildings?
2) I was using Quad Element (plane stress) to model the floor slab in the building. Will this automatically take into account the rigid floor diaphragm effect?
3) In Quad Element does it take into account the membrane forces?
Waiting for your valuable suggestion.
Thanking You

Hi
No I am not modeling shear wall with flat slab. It is simple building having rigid floor. I wanted to know how to model it in Opensees?
Please let me know, whether quad element can be used to model rigid floor effect in the building.
With regards
Amarnath
