Hi
I am doing seismic analysis on many seismic records. I am presently working in a linux workstation. I have WINE installed in it, which allows the running of windows exe files in linux. I work in a remote computer and access the workstation using shell prompt.
I tried running Opensees with wine, but with no luck. Also, i tried running in the workstation directly without remote connection. Still no luck.
Kindly help me, as my thesis work is being delayed, since, presently I am running the analysis in a desktop (Windows environment) and the analysis takes lot of time.
I am pasting below the output of, running Opensees in the linux using Wine.
Regards
Nithin

Re: Using Opensees with Wine in Fedora_linux
we cannot help with what you have provided .. it could be OpenSees or wine and there is not any info in what you have provided that will help .. why don't you try building a linux version of OpenSees .. or if you are adverse to that try running OpenSees available on NEEShub .. you could also try copying the .exe on NEEShub (found in /apps/share64/opensees/local/bin and you also need a copy of the /apps/..../local/lib directories)
Re: Using Opensees with Wine in Fedora_linux
I am unable to download the source code for Opensees 2.4.0......kindly provide the link for downloading the source code.....also kindly provide the instructions....
Thank You

Re: Using Opensees with Wine in Fedora_linux
HI
I found 3 executables from the link
http://opensees.berkeley.edu/OpenSees/p ... wnload.php
Among them, OpenSeesTk.exe is working with WINE in linux. The size of this exe file (9748 KB) is lesser than the exe file (12418 KB) found in the link
http://opensees.berkeley.edu/OpenSees/user/download.php
Are they different ? Is the first one outdated version ? Can i perform my analysis work with first file (9748 KB) ?
Kindly clarify the above.
Thanks
Nithin
