Download opensees sources?

Post by Ernesto »

hello,
I am interested in the sources of opensees.
I have found the subversion project in the net,
but I have not found a method to download the
sources from this page with one download command.
Is there any possibility to get the sources in a zip
or something like that?
Best regards, Ernesto

I have had exact same question for a while now, can .C and .H files be downloaded from the svn repository? I followed the link supplied in the response to the download section, it didn't work for the latest version, and, I'm not even sure that's what I want, I don't want the whole OPENSEES code, the commentary even discourages it. Several presentations have been posted on writing our own elements/materials. These all say that we should navigate to the Developer/Core directory to copy the core files needed to compile the new element/material. How are these files obtained? I see them on the svn, but there is no obvious way (at least for a non-IT type engineer) to download them.

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks for the link! I have downloaded the version 2.2.2.
The links under "DOWNLOAD Stable Release" to download the newer version 2.4. obviously are not working.

Hi Ernesto,

After several hours of poking around I think I finally figured it out. Download Tortoise snv onto your computer, go to this link;

http://opensees.berkeley.edu/wiki/index ... _Developer

and then click on the link supplied at the bottom of the page;

svn://opensees.berkeley.edu/usr/local/svn/OpenSees/trunk/DEVELOPER

You'll be able to download portions of the code as shoown in the OpenSees svn repository page
