UniaxialMaterial Elastic

Post by Polatoglou »

Should I create a UniaxialMaterial Elastic so that the structure is safe from torsion?
Is it uniaxialMaterial Elastic <tag> <E>? Does the E I will put depend on the section fibers I have created?

Sorry for not being clear. In order to be my structures safe from torsion I should create an UniaxialMaterial Elastic where I should insert the torsional stiffness. I do not know the type of torsional stiffness.(Maybe G*J)?

To add torsion to your section use Section Aggregator command: http://opensees.berkeley.edu/wiki/index ... Aggregator

Here you can find examples of how to do that: http://opensees.berkeley.edu/wiki/index ... on_Example
