Dear Frank, Vesna
My question will be about the localization issues of deformation in forcebased element of opensees. Lets say you have a nonlinearbeam with a fiber section. I think, the number of integration points assigned will affect the hypothetical plastic hinge length. So if I increase the number of integration points, the program will give higher curvature values for the same level of displacement. Am I right???
If yes, Does opensees take care of this kind of non-objective response? What shall I do? Thank you very much for your kindness.

Re: Forcebased element response localization???
Yes, your observations are right. Non-objective response can be best solved by using beamWithHinges element. If you want to use force-based beam-column element select the number of integration points such that the integration weight at the element end closely corresponds to the plastic hinge length.
