how to set the parameters of Hyeteretic material?

Post by CMPeng »

I have checked the previous topic in the OpenSees Forum, but still need more help.

Questions about parameters of Hyeteretic material:damage1,damage2 and beta.

1 You suggested damage1=0.002,damage2=0.001,but it needs lots of trial work, and I still don't know what damage1 damage2 reallly mean.

2 Could you tell me the reasonable value for beta parameters and its real meaning.

3 Could I get the source code of Hysteretic material from you or others?

Thanks a lot !

also,
timoshenk recommends a value of beta=0.5.

it is the slope of the unloading curve, dependent on the ductility level.
