Concrete01 Material -- Zero Tensile Strength

Post by alexnikel »

Hi,
I used Concrete01 Material -- Zero Tensile Strength and I would like to know whether there is a way to find the equations used in order to make the stress-strain diagram of this material. I want to pass the stress-strain diagram of the material at the excell....

Thanking in advance,
Alex

The reference for the material is:

Mohd Hisham Mohd Yassin, "Nonlinear Analysis of Prestressed Concrete Structures under Monotonic and Cycling Loads", PhD dissertation, University of California, Berkeley, 1994.

You can also see stress-strain relationship of your material by performing the analysis on element defined with this material. To see the output you need to record stress and strain of your material.

I had hard time to obtain cyclic stress-strain curve of Concrete01 and Concrete02 by cyclic analysis of a zerolength material with only one concrete fiber. However, I couldn't get the curve after f'c. If you don't need the cyclic curve and you're fine with the backbone curve, simply use the equations that Vesna has referred.

See the link for cyclic curve of Concrete02 by an analysis with OpenSees (Stress unit should be "ksi", please ignore the typo "kips")
