Structures' state in Pushover

Post by mpaksoy »

Hi Vesna and others,

I am doing a multi modes pushover analysis. As you know, I apply each time a different pattern on the structure. My problem is:
each time, I have to start pushing from the undeformed state of the structure. Is there anyway to do it without exiting each time.
By exiting, I mean wipe command.

My 2nd question is: In postprocessing opensees results I have difficulties. I mean, in recorders there may be dublicate numbers at the beginning and end of analysis. Lets say, in stress strain recorders the strains have a precision of 7 numpers after point but the stress values have 1 precision after point. Is there a way of increasing the precision of recorder so I can avoid duplicates in the recorders.
Please let me know. Thanks.

Regards,

Murathan

You can do it by using data base commands of OpenSees: http://opensees.berkeley.edu/wiki/index ... e_Commands

In OpenSees you can not define number of values after decimal points but number of significant digits. Look at the command manual for recorders to see how to specify # of significant digits.
