about "EnvelopeNode Recorder"

hi my friends,i am puzzled about the use of "EnvelopeNode Recorder", i use this command to recorder the node displacement envelope in a transient analysis, but the file is empty, the command i use is "recorder EnvelopeNode -file EnNode.out -node 2 10 -dof 3 disp", is there any mistakes? by the way, the command is work well in opensees version 1.6.1, but in version 1.7.3 it can not work.

The syntax seems to be right but you need to make sure that the analysis is completed unless your file will be empty.

thank you pejman, i am sure the analysis is completed, and the file can't recorde any imformation. but if i use the opensees version 1.6.1 instead of version 1.7.3 the file could recorde the data correctly, i am puzzled about this, who can tell me why?

Actually, I have worked with envelopnode recorder and I did not encounter any problem. I can send you some files proving it or you just build a simple model and send me to see if I can find the problem.

hi pejman, i have built a simple model and encounter the same question when i use the "EnvelopeNode Recorder", can i send the model to you? if you run it in opensees version 1.7.3 and version 1.6.1, and compare the results you will find the question, one file is empty but the other one is well.
