Please help me how to create a buckling brace? should I use a hysteretic material?

Hi
I got a post in useful scripts which is exactly what you want. the title is:
"inealstic post-buckling of steel braces" in which you can find a post for capturing buckling load in consequtive cycles.

Actually, I am not that much sure whether it is in useful script or opensees user room! I totally forgot :D
