error to use rigid link and initstrain material

Post by mahbobehmirzaie »

hello
I modeled the post tension steel connection with angle . I model strand with truss, angle with truss(steel02), Gap opening with zerolenght element(ENT material). beam and column with element dispBeamColumn(hardening material with Wsection).Rigid-links are used between the nodes of beam/column elements and the zero-length elements at the column-beam interfaces to consider the infl uence of the column and beam depths, when using rigid link, there was this error" constrain matris not identify at node 5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,20,21,22,23,25,26,27,28
also I use initstrain for the post tension force in the strand in the connectio.

Re: error to use rigid link and initstrain material

Post by yones »

Probably it can not be solved by using Plain constraint handler. See command language manual for other constraints handler
such as Penalty Method.
