Hi,
The results of my numerical model are significantly affected by the value of Newmark Integrator parameters. I looked at some examples, and I noticed that different values are being used by different people e.g. 0.5, 0.65, 1.6 and ... I'm wondering whether I can use the value of let's say 3.0 or 8.0 for the parameter gamma!!! There is no limit for these parameters????

Re: Newmark integrator
of course there are limits! .. there is none in the code to allow people who know what they are doing to play with the coeficients .. the manual describes the 2 typical cases .. i suggest that before you go using values seected at ranom you do a small litearature review for papers describing the different values that are used and why these values are used .. in the meantime stick to either linear or constant accel.
