what's the difference between PDelta and Corotational

Post by chriswu »

hey all,
as mentioned, what's the difference between PDelta and Corotational?

the manual only described that :
P-Delta Transformation performs a LINEAR geometric transformation of beam stiffness and resisting force from the basic system to the global coordinate system, considering second-order P-Delta effects.
Corotational Transformation performs an EXACT geometric transformation of beam stiffness and resisting force from the basic system to the global coordinate system.

any detail description about the difference? :)
