Hi everyone.
I have defined a zero length element with a defined longitudinal direction and I only assigned a material in this direction. When I reverse the direction of longitudinal direction, I get different result!!! Does anybody know what I have to do?

By changing the order of nodes or opposite the sign of the components used to define x-vector.
Re: Difference between direction for zero-length element
Do you have only zero-length element, or your zero-length element is part of a bigger model? For the two cases you considered, do you apply the load in the same direction or do you also reverse the direction of load as you reverse the x-axis? What material did you assign to your zero-length element? If you feel that some additional information will help me have a big picture of your problem please provide it.
